Wow. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to give an update. As some of you know. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago. Due to tremors in my hands, writing has been difficult. But never fear, I am still working…slowly.

Since it has been a moment since the last update, Let me catch you up on what I’ve gotten done.

The Werewolf and the Wild Pooch. Book 5 in the Voodoo Rumors series.

There are five days each month when those cursed with lycanthropy are forced to change. The police called me early on day five. Four women dead, one killed each night. And the brutality of the four attacks implies the killer is a new werewolf, better known as a Wild Pooch. That gave me and my lady less than eighteen hours to find the killer werewolf and save a life. Thing is, someone in power is blocking the investigation, and there are a lot of werewolves in town.

A Blind Eye From The Goddess: And Other Steampunk Tales

Steampunk has always held a particular fascination for many of us. It could be the aesthetic beauty or the wonder of science fiction as viewed through the prism of the Victorian Era. But something about it grabs us.

This collection of short tales explores the wonders of childhood imagination, the rise and struggles of heroes, and the perils of being a monster in a man’s world.

News 5.01.2022

5.01.2022:

A bunch is happening in Alan’s world. Aside from a schedule full of conventions, new books are on their way. No, really. I’m serious this time.

The month of May will see the release of The Bloodsucker on Shady Lane and other tales from Voodoo Rumors. This is a short story collection set in the world of Voodoo Rumors, a paranormal-noir place where werewolves, vampires, demons, and whatnot run amuck on the streets of Nashville. 

The stories include the novella, The Bloodsucker on Shady Lane. A frightful tale as Thomas Dietrich is hired to investigate a sting of vampiric killings in a quiet Nashville neighborhood. 

The other stories included are My Drinks with Azazel, Catching Snow, Love Spells, and Red Lily and the Oriental Flower.

In June, another short story collection will debut. A Blind Eye from the Goddess and other steampunk tales will be available. This is a collection of my steampunk stories, some retooled and others new.

In July, the long awaited Wild Pooch, the fourth novel in the Voodoo Rumors series will be out. This time, Thomas Dietrich and his lady Natalie will be called to investigate a werewolf killing spree, but things are not always what they appear.

It’s been a while coming, but I finally have something new to put up. My novella, Mata Hari: One Life For Another is now available in paperback and eBook.

The story revolves around one of the greatest spies of all time.

As Europe tore itself apart during the first World War, one woman danced and ignored the horror. At least until the truth was exposed. Mata Hari, famed dancer and courtesan, found herself facing a death sentence for spying, but the British Secret Service make her an officer she can’t refuse. First post of 2020. OK, I’m behind schedule.

It’s been a while since I updated my websites, Facebook pages, and everything. 2019 was a bad year for my writing career. Personally, I had many good things happen, however the writing portion of my life suffered.

Many factors came together like a perfect storm to derail things, but at the end of the day, I just didn’t get my projects accomplished.

The second draft of book four in the Voodoo Rumors series is complete but undergoing a complete rewrite. I have a short story collection in the works. Plus, I’m considering editing an anthology or two.

So, if you see an increase in ads or posts about my books, it’s because I’m trying to get back on track with my marketing.

Good comments and positive thoughts are always appreciated.

The audio version of book two, The Last Encore is in the works.

 

Currently, I’m way behind on book Four, Wild Pooch. This novel will find Dietrich and Natalie bouncing around Nashville, collecting clues, and chatting up suspects. Is there an untamed werewolf in town? The mangled bodies of four women would suggest so, but Dietrich isn’t sure.

Wild Pooch will be out in mid-October, if all goes according to plan.

Audio, Audible, and book 3.

Hey folks,

Sorry for the lack of news, as of late. Things have been hectic. However, that isn’t to say that the wait hasn’t been worth it.

First off, let me say that book three of the Voodoo Rumors series, A Penny For Luck, is now available on Kindle and the print version will go on sale within a few days. 

Book three takes place in Memphis, as Dietrich and Natalie make a stop for the night on a much-needed vacation. The following morning, things for Dietrich are fuzzy and events from the night before lead to a whirlwind adventure around the city.

In addition to the new release, I’m happy to say that the audio versions of books one, two and three are in the beginning stages. With luck, we’ll see The Blood Red Ruby by early fall of this year.

Book four is progressing nicely. Here is a hint about the plot, werewolf murder mystery.

The Last Encore – Voodoo Rumors book 2

I’m proud to announce that the second book in the Voodoo Rumors series is now available. The Last Encore follows Thomas Dietrich and his girl Natalie as they work to solve a rash of vampiric killings outside of a popular Nashville nightclub. The clues all lead to sinister forces working in the music industry, and their connection to an old blues singer named Spence Danger.

Dietrich and Natalie find their lives on the line as they follow the trail to a dark conclusion.

 

The Last Encore follows up on the characters and landscape first established in book one of the Voodoo Rumors series, The Blood Red Ruby.  While the series follows a loose timeline, each book is written to be a stand-alone story, allowing readers to jump into the series at any point.

With the official launch of the second Voodoo Rumors book, ‘The Last Encore’ this Saturday, I wanted to go ahead and give everyone a sneak peek at books three and four. Coming in May, ‘ A Penny for Luck’ will see Dietrich roaming the streets of Memphis in an attempt to save his girl’s soul. Book four, coming in July is ‘Wild Pooch’. It will be exploring the werewolf families that call Nashville home.
